FIPV statement regarding BIARRITZ 2022

The FIPV Board of Directors met via Zoom exclusively discussing the corresponding item on the agenda regarding the 2022 competitions and specifically the celebration of the XIX Absolute World Championship of Basque Pelota Biarritz 2022, the organization of which is in charge of the French Basque Pelota Federation (FFPB).
After the presentation of the state of affairs by Lilou Echeverria, President of the FFPB, and after the subsequent round of comments and questions raised by its members, the Board of Directors agreed:


1- Both parties FFPB and FIPV are called upon to maintain the necessary communications so that within a period of 6 (six) days the competition organization agreement is definitively signed, with February 9 being the deadline for them to intervene. said signature.

2- From that date, appropriate and agreed decisions will be made regarding the following points:


a) Composition of the Committees.

b) Determination of the venues, after providing an official document from the corresponding entity of the commitment to undertake the adjustments required by the FIPV so that they have the necessary guarantees to carry out the competition reliably.

c) Presentation and study by the parties of the preliminary draft budget dedicated to the competition.

d) Presentation and study of the parts of the full Communication Plan planned for the competition.

A new meeting of the Board of Directors was scheduled for February 16 to discuss the XIX Absolute World Basque Pelota Championship.
