Spain, qualified for the men's and women's rubber paddle semis

Following the results of this Wednesday's day, Spain has mathematically secured a place in the rubber paddle semi-finals. In the men's category, Gustavo Vidal defeated the Italian Rossi 2 – 0, 15 – 5 in the first game and 15 – 8 in the second. With this result, Spain is first in its group and secured a place in the semi-finals where it will face the French National Team, second in group A.

In the women's category, Lidia Simón began by winning the first game against the Argentine Spahn, 15 - 6, with a fast game and moving her rival on the court, but in the second game the equality was maximum and finally Saphn defeated 15 - 13 to Simon. We had to go to the third game and the Spanish player, very involved in the duel and with the public supporting from the stands, comfortably beat the Argentine 10 – 5, and with this, Spain secured a place for the semifinals. Argentina, despite this defeat, came second in the group and also reached the semifinals, facing Mexico, first in group A.

The semifinals will be played this Thursday afternoon with two very close matches that will surely not disappoint the public attending the Nazareth sports center. The semifinals will be Spain – France and Mexico – Argentina.

Mexico, the only one classified in frontenis

In men's racquetball, Mexico is the only one mathematically classified. In the morning of Thursday the remaining group matches will be played to define second place. In group A Spain and Argentina and in group B, the second place between the USA, France and Chile.

In women's racquetball in the semifinals, Spain will face Cuba and Mexico against France. These matches, as well as the men's racquetball matches, are held on Friday morning.

After Thursday's day we will know the rubber paddle finalists who will play in the grand final on Friday the 17th starting at 6:30 p.m. after finishing the match for third and fourth place.
