Spain is proclaimed champion in the XIX Basque Pelota World Championship

The next edition will be held in San Luis, Argentina, in 2026.

The Spanish National Team has won the XIX World Pelota Championship, held from October 23 to 29, in the city of Biarritz. It has been an intense week of matches in the different modalities and with a great atmosphere in all the frontons where the different specialties have been played.

In Biarritz there has been a great Championship and, proof of this, is the large influx of public that has been in the stands of the frontons.

After the last day, held on Sunday, the medal table for the World Ball Championship is as follows:

CHAMPION: SPAIN : 9 GOLD, 9 SILVER AND 2 BRONZE

Runner-up: FRANCE: 5 GOLD, 2 SILVER AND 9 BRONZE

Third Classified: MEXICO: 3 GOLD, 3 SILVER AND 4 BRONZE

Fourth Classified: ARGENTINA: 1 GOLD, 3 SILVER AND 1 BRONZE

Fifth Classified: USA: 1 SILVER AND 1 BRONZE

Sixth Classified: CUBA: 1 BRONZE

An Adapted Ball exhibition match was played between France and Spain, with the Spanish National Team winning against the French National Team.
