Le lundi 16 mai, le Président de la FIPV et le Vice-Président économique, José Adolfo Murat, ont eu un déjeuner de travail avec le Licencié Carlos Padilla, Président du Comité international olympique mexicain.
En plus de communiquer par voie téléphonique avec le Président du Comité olympique du Pérou, José Quiñones, les participants ont travaillé de manière chaleureuse et efficace sur plusieurs questions d'importance pour notre sport : Les Jeux Olympiques de la Jeunesse - Buenos Aires 2018, les Jeux d'Amérique Centrale et du Caribe - Baranquilla 2018, les Jeux Panaméricains - Lima 2019, l'Assemblée Générale de la OCA - Da Nang (Vietnam) 2016, l'Assemblée Générale de l'ACNO - Doha (Qatar) 2016, les Statuts de la FIPV, le Programme 2020 du CIO et la situation de la Pelote au Mexique.
Il a été convenu de tenir à nouveau une réunion de travail dans 10 jours.
On Monday 16th May, the President of the FIPV and the Vice President of Economy, José Adolfo Murat, held a working lunch with Lic. Carlos Padilla, President of the Mexican Olympic Committee.
In addition to communicating by telephone with the President of the Olympic Committee of Peru, José Quiñones, the participants dealt agreeably and effectively with several important issues for our sport: the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games, the 2018 Central American and Caribbean-Barranquilla Games, the 2019 Lima Pan American Games, the 2016 OCA General Assembly (Da Nang-Vietnam), the 2016 ANOC General Assembly (Doha-Qatar), the Statutes of the FIPV, the 2020 IOC program and the situation of the Pelota in Mexico.
They agreed to hold a new working meeting in 10 days.
On the evening of 11th May in Mexico DF, in the framework of the side events of the FIFA Congress, the President of the FIPV, accompanied by the Vice President of Economy Lic. José Adolfo Murat, was welcomed by Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, who is the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, the President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
Sheikh Ahmad asked about the situation of our sport and about the actions developed by the FIPV since the last meeting held in the Congress of ANOC in Washington. He invited the FIPV to participate in the Congress of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Da Nang (Vietnam) on 23rd and 24th September 2016, and he reaffirmed his desire of having a formal presentation made by the FIPV at the plenary session of the General Assembly. He also requested the FIPV to participate in the General Assembly of ANOC in Doha (Qatar) on 13th and 14th of November 2016.
They all agreed to meet again on 12th May on the occasion of the visit of the President of ANOC to the headquarters of the Mexican Olympic Committee.
Later, during a working dinner, the CEO of the Olympic Council of Asia, Hussain Al Musallam, expressed his desire to see the FIPV working for its implementation in China, Hong Kong, the Central Asian Republics, India, Vietnam and Laos, with the support of the OCA. He defined the key points of a common strategy between the FIPV and the OCA to create an Asian Confederation of Pelota. He highlighted his enthusiasm towards the Frontball as an element for penetrating into new territories. He addressed the issues of the 2019 Pan American Games, as well as the 2024 Olympic Games.
He has organized a meeting in Mexico City between the FIPV and the President of the Olympic Committee of Hong Kong for May 12th. Other meetings, to be announced by the FIPV, are being arranged.

On 29th of April, a long working meeting was organized by the PASO in Montevideo among Dr. Julio Maglione- member of the IOC, President of the PASO and President of the FINA-, José Quiñones- President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee-, Luis Salazar Steiger- President of the Organizing Committee of the XVII 2019 Lima Pan American Games-, Xavier Cazaubon- President of the FIPV-, Marcello Filipeli- President of the Pan American Confederation of Pelota and Vice President of the FIPV-, Fernando Ucha- President of the Pan American Confederation of Remo-, Julio Noveri- Vice President of the Pan-American Confederation of Handball-, Julio Lezama- President of the Uruguayan Weightlifting Federation-, and Sergio Menéndez- President of the Uruguayan Confederation of Karate.
The main topic discussed were the XVII 2019 Lima Pan American Games, with an exchange of information from the Peruvian Sport authorities, informing on their meeting in Lausanne, and the solutions offered for each of the sport disciplines present at the meeting.
On the occasion of the FIFA Congress held in Mexico, the President of the FIPV met on 10th of May with Mr. Issa Hayatou, Vice President of FIFA and President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as well as with Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Vice President of FIFA and President of the Asian Confederation of Football. He also met the presidents of federations and African members of the Executive Council of the CAF from the following countries: Guinea-Conakry, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mali, Cameroon, Zambia, Senegal, Togo, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Gambia and Tanzania. The objective was to prepare the next African tour of the FIPV in the African continent, with the support of these key players of the sport for each of their countries, in order to build the principles of a continental implementation of Pelota.
Later, the President of the FIPV had dinner with Wilmar Valdez, President of the Uruguayan Football Association, who was accompanied by Alejandro Balbi, General Secretary of the AUF and Ignacio Alonso, Secretary for Economic Affairs.
On 29th April, the President of the FIPV was invited to Montevideo by Dr. Julio Maglione, President of the PASO, member of the IOC, President of the FINA and of the Uruguayan Olympic Committee, to discuss issues relating to the formal participation of the Basque Pelota in the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019.
The President of the FIPV, accompanied by Marcello Filipeli, President of the Pan American Confederation of Pelota, expressed his gratitude for the permanent support given by the President of the PASO both to our sport as to the FIPV. They also discussed about facilities, modalities and sports calendar.
Taking advantage of being at the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, the President met Marcello Filipeli to deal with issues relating to the Pan American Confederation and the Uruguayan Federation. It was agreed that on the third week of May, Xavier Cazaubon will return to Montevideo. He will visit the Mayor of Colonia and the Club of Mercedes accompanied by Marcello Filipeli.
Finally, on 30th of April, the President met Fernando Cáceres, Minister of Sports. Besides improving the infraestructures in Uruguay, the minister confirmed his desire to receive international competitions of the FIPV and to develop the Frontball. A new working appointment was agreed for the third week of May, both with the Minister Cáceres and with the President of the PASO.
L'après-midi du 11 mai à Mexico, dans le cadre des activités parallèles au congrès de la FIFA, le Président de la FIPV- accompagné du Vice-Président économique le Licencié José Adolfo Murat-, a été reçu par le Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, Vice-Président du Comité international olympique, Président de l'Association des comités nationaux olympiques (ACNO) et Président du Conseil olympique d'Asie (COA).
Le Sheikh Ahmad s'est informé de la situation de notre sport et des actions menées par la FIPV depuis la dernière réunion tenue lors du Congrès de l'ACNO à Washington, il a également invité la FIPV à participer au Congrès du Conseil olympique d'Asie (COA) à Da Nang (Vietnam) les 23-24 septembre 2016 et, enfin, a réaffirmé son souhait que la FIPV réalise une présentation officielle durant la séance plénière de l'Assemblée Générale. Il a également demandé à la FIPV sa participation à l'Assemblée Générale de l'ACNO à Doha (Qatar) les 13 et 14 novembre prochain.
Ils ont convenus de se réunir de nouveau le 12 mai à l'occasion de la visite du Président de l'ACNO au siège du Comité olympique mexicain.
Par la suite, au cours d'un dîner de travail, le Directeur Général du Conseil olympique d'Asie, Hussain Al Musallam, a exprimé son souhait de voir la FIPV travailler à son implantation- avec l'appui du COA- en Chine, à Hong-kong, dans les républiques d'Asie centrale, l'Inde, le Vietnam et le Laos. Il a défini les axes d'une stratégie commune entre la FIPV et le COA pour créer une Confédération asiatique de Pelote. Il a réaffirmé son enthousiasme pour le Frontball comme élément de pénétration de nouveaux territoires. Il a abordé les sujets des Panaméricains de 2019 ainsi que des Jeux olympiques de 2024.
Le 12 mai, une rencontre a été organisée à Mexico entre la FIPV et le Président du Comité olympique de Hong-Kong et d'autres rencontres que la FIPV fera connaître sont en cours de gestion.
