First meeting of the FIPV with its new Board of Directors.

For a duration of an hour and a half, all matters established on the agenda were discussed by videoconference.

With the initial welcome to all participants by the President of the FIPV X. Cazaubon, the meeting began with a message of condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Carlos Baeza Fraile, who recently died unexpectedly.

HeThe President was pleased to follow the lines set by the IOC by having in this new Board of Directors a third of people related to the sport of Ball, another third of former players, and the remaining last third made up of means external to the sport that will surely give another perspective on the 2023-26 cycle project.

He also marked the axes for said cycle, where they are established:

– Follow the IOC guidelines.

– Increase the number of Affiliated Federations.

– Promote area games, in line with the Olympic family.

– Renew our FIPV competitions.

– Support the Pamplona project, world capital of Pelota.

Also, all the Commissions were touched upon, for which November 10 has been set as the deadline for receiving a project that visualizes the current state of the situation, and an action plan is marked, which will be evaluated during the Board of Directors at take place at the end of November, during the celebration of the Mexico City competitions.

Finally, the floor was given to the Secretary General of the FIPV Pablo Lambardi who communicated the intention to refound the competitions, and ensure that the FIPV can achieve self-financing; and Vice President Lilou Echeverria who presented the competition system to be carried out in CDMX2023.
